Jim Haverland Fine Art

Welcome to my ART!

I choose to paint almost exclusively in oils, in a realistic manner. Included in the attached portfolio are a limited selection of landscapes, seascapes, animal portraits, and miscellaneous other depictions.

I chose the above painting because it is representative of many of  my paintings: it is oil on canvas, large size (30" x 40"), a landscape, a highly detailed landscape, highly edited, but a scene from Colorado where I was fortunate enough to spend many hours in the mountains because I was working for a company in Boulder, Colorado

The other paintings in the portfolio express different memories and I hold all dearly. Having spent time in the Northeast (hence pictures from Maine, New Hampshire), in Florida (Birds on a Beach), on Long Island (Spinnaker Series), and in Colorado, (Red Barn), my paintings reflect what has inspired and excited me through the years. You'll get a strong feel of my likes.

I also have several other paintings which are not yet included in my portfolio. If there is one point I can make, as you see dogs, seascapes, additional landscapes, watercolors, flowers, an abstract, wine still-life paintings, etc., I have never restricted myself to one genre. I love to paint it all - as long as I find it attractive, I can learn more from it, and I would hang it in my own home!

I hope you enjoy also!
