The Blue Boat

If  you have seen many of my pictures or read many of my comments, regarding Seascapes, it should be clear that I love to paint water.

Again, that is because I was raised around water, living on Long Island, a short bike ride from where the water was, Long Island Sound.

One of the locations to which our family moved, after I got married, was to Boston. From Boston it was only a days ride to get to New Hampshire and to Maine, and back to Boston!

Scenes similar to this are literally everywhere along the coast. What obviously struck me about this scene was the Blue Boat, standing there calmly on the mostly still water - waiting for his turn to become someone's mode of transportation. (Okay, I sometimes see more than what is there  on the surface (no pun intended)). I just loved the composition, and the hint of a larger town in the background.
